Comment: You've made some great improvements to the article. WP:NBLP requires that biographies of living people contain two reliable, secondary (WP:RS, WP:IS) sources with substantial coverage of the person. The same writer from The Sydney Morning Herald is the only one here. Can you find another? SocDoneLeft (talk) 00:32, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- Comment: Most of the sources are WP:INTERVIEWS, WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS, WP:PRIMARY and WP:PRSOURCES. For instance, it appears that both influencing.com and podnews.net are websites that publish press releases. There are multiple sources that don't even mention Bevan such as the sources from The Independent, Axios, and BBC. There are multiple sources from Bevan's employer ABC, which are written by Bevan. I should note that Wikipedia is not a place for WP:PROMOTION and the creator of this page has not disclosed whether they have a WP:COI. It looks like the podcast might be notable, but I don't see how Bevan passes WP:BIO with the current sources. TipsyElephant (talk) 16:11, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
Matthew Bevan is an Australian podcast presenter and current affairs journalist.
He is currently host of the If You're Listening podcast series from ABC News.
If You're Listening podcast
editIn 2018 he developed, wrote and presented the podcast series Russia, If You're Listening,[1] focused on the Mueller Investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, cyberwarfare by Russia and the Russo-Ukrainian War.[2]
The podcast was subsequently renamed America, If You're Listening, to focus on the first presidency of Donald Trump.[3]
On the 30th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre, If You're Listening reported exclusively that Australian prime minister Bob Hawke relied on raw evidence from a single diplomatic cable during a tearful speech on national television following the massacre.[4]
The report found that the cable was subsequently retracted by diplomats, and likely was based on information from the same unreliable source as the widely-cited[5][6][7] UK cable on the massacre, which was declassified in 2017.[4]

editRussia, If You're Listening was awarded best Political, Social & Cultural Affairs podcast at the 2019 Australian Podcast Awards.[8]
In 2022, Bevan was named Australian Podcast Host or Presenter of the Year in the Radio Today Podcast Awards for his work on China, If You're Listening.[9]
In 2023, Bevan was nominated as a finalist for the Walkley Awards for explanatory journalism.[10]
